16th World Congress of the International Academy of Human Reproduction

March 18-21, 2015 in St. The 16th World Congress of the International Academy of Human Reproduction was held in Berlin (Germany).

A very important Georgian delegation took part in the work of the Congress together with the world's leading scientists and clinicians, including Teimuraz Gagnidze, General Director of the Reproductive Medicine Center "Universe", Prof. Dr. Genaro Kristesashvili, Deputy Director in Clinical Affairs Maia Jashiashvili, Deputy Director Levan Kobaladze, Head of In-Vitro Fertilization Department Iva Kutivadze and Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Geneticist Nana Tabukashvili.

Prof. Two papers presented by Genaro Kristesashvili, "Termination of Unplanned Pregnancy and Pre-Contraceptive Use in Georgia" (Authors: J. Kristesashvili, T. Japaridze) and "Types of Reproductive Disorders in Young Women with Overweight and Underweight Deficiency from Childhood and Corresponding Hormonal Changes" (Authors: J. Kristesashvili, N. Chikvaidze, M. Gegechkori), aroused great interest of the congress participants, as it was on very important and topical issues.

In addition, Prof. J. Kristesashvili was the co-author of another paper presented at the congress - "Evaluation of ovarian reserve tests to predict the results of in-vitro fertilization" (authors: L. Barbakadze, A. Khomasuridze, J. Kristesashvili, L. Pkhaladze).

The scientific novelty, relevance, level of performance and results of the research conducted on the basis of RMC "Universe" are fully in line with modern world standards, which is why representatives from different countries have expressed their willingness to cooperate in both clinical and joint research. The visit of several leading scientists to Georgia was planned in order to share modern foreign knowledge and experience with Georgian colleagues.
