Date:

On June 27-29, 2018, in the city of Madrid (Spain) was held the World Congress on Recurrent Pregnancy Losses (OCD) III , which was attended by the Center for Reproductive Medicine "Universe" staff - Director of the Center Doctor of Medicine, President of the Georgian Association of Andrologists Teimuraz Gagnidze , Deputy Director of the Center in the field of science and training, Head of the Scientific-Practical Management Center of OGD Prof. Genaro Christashe Will , Deputy Director of the Center, Member of the European Society of Sexual Medicine Dr. Levan Kobaladze , Obstetricians and Gynecologists of the Center, I. Javakhishvili TSU PhD students Maia Chiokadze and Elene Asanidze (supervised by Prof. J. Kristesashvili).

RMC "Universe" presented two oral presentations at the congress - "Sperm DNA fragmentation in male partners of couples with ODG of unknown genesis" (T. Gagnidze, J. Kristesashvili, M. Kuchukashvili, L. Kobaladze) and "Association of Recurrent Pregnancy Losses with Infertility in Georgia" (J. Kristesashvili, L. Kobaladze) and stand-up report - "Homocysteine Indicators is Correlation In patients with polycystic ovary syndrome with hormonal and morphological characteristics of the ovaries with OGD "(E. Asanidze, J. Kristesashvili).

DNA fragmentation of sperm in male partners of OGD couples is a highly topical and new field today. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that only the report of RMC "Universe" was presented at the Congress as a result of its own research on this topic, which aroused great interest of the attendees. Also very relevant was the report of RMC "Universe" on the OGD and the Infertility Association, which provided factual material on the legitimacy of the recent debate in the literature regarding the revision of the definition of these two conditions, as they overlap. A novelty in the same report was the isolation of combined factors in the etiological structure of OGD.

Of particular interest was the fact that for the first time at the OGD III World Congress, special attention was paid to the importance of endometrial receptivity and chronic endometritis in the development of OGD. In this regard, it should be noted that the urgency of this problem was determined at RMC 'Universe 2 years ago and the dissertation of doctoral student Maia Chiokadze was planned and completed in collaboration with the University of Jena (Germany) (Prof. Udo Markert ).

The scientific novelty, relevance, level of performance and results of the research conducted on the basis of RMC "Universe" are fully in line with modern world standards, which is why representatives from different countries have expressed their willingness to cooperate in both clinical and joint research. The visit of several leading scientists to Georgia was planned in order to share modern foreign knowledge and experience with Georgian colleagues.
